    • After scoring in the FA Cup on Sunday, Robert Huth became Stoke‘s top scorer in all competitions with eight goals.
    • Since beating Sunderland in February, the Potters have picked up just one point and have seen their buffer from the relegation zone reduced to three points.
    • In the 58 games played by these two teams this season they have kept just 14 clean sheets between them.
    • Stoke have one of the best home records in the league, having won half of their 14 fixtures at the Britannia and losing just four, while Newcastle have won only four of their games at St James’ Park.
    • Newcastle have the sixth best away record in the Premier League and average more than a goal a game on the road.
    • Stoke are unbeaten in three against Newcastle and haven’t been beaten by the Magpies in the league since 1990.
    • Andy Carroll remains Newcastle’s top scorer this season after his transfer to Liverpool with 11 goals, having reached that landmark in fewer games than Kevin Nolan.
    • Kevin Nolan has the same amount of yellow cards (nine) as Cheick Tiote, but has reached that figure from just 36 fouls to the Ivorian’s 65.
    • Alan Pardew’s side are the fifth top scorers in the league with 44 goals, whereas Stoke are the third worst with just 32 notched up from 29 games.
    • In the 69 league meetings between the sides, the Toon Army have marched to victory 31 times and Stoke just 21.
