Odd Future leader Tyler, the Creator opened his debut album ‘Bastard’ by insulting NahRight.com and 2dopeboyz.com–two popular hip-hop MP3 blogs that ignored his pre-hype music when he originally sent it out.
Now, he is pranking those influential sites with a crazy advertisement for his debut record ‘Goblin,’ which is set for a May 10 release via independent label XL Recordings.
The ads feature a gigantic Buffalo Bill head that links to a ‘Goblin’ teaser site with the same puzzling image. A new track kicks in with cooing children, a menacing beat and then an eventual explosion.
The whole site morphs into a message that reads “F— 2dopeboyz & Nah Right”–an innovative yet odd flip that uses advertising on those very sites to insult them to their face.
