FORMER Nigerian Under-20 international Nduka Ozokwo has returned to Turkey to continue his European adventure.
The midfielder recently moved to Turkish first league side Mersin Idmanyurdu based in the Eastern Mediterranean city of Mersin on a short term contract.
Ozokwo initially had a stint with another lower division side, Boluspor but rejoined his only Nigerian team Enugu Rangers on the eve of the present campaign in 2010.
However, the attacking midfielder could not play because the Enugu side had already registered their 35-man squad ahead of the season.
Technical Adviser of Rangers Alphonsus Dike confirmed this findings.
“Ozokwo is no longer in our plan since he has joined a team in Turkey,” Dike said. The former international started his European career at French Ligue 1 side, OGC Nice, after the 2007 Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Canada, but returned to Rangers in 2009 due to limited playing opportunities and later headed for his first Turkish side Boluspor in 2010.
His current deal in Turkey will terminate in May.
