She’s known as one of the more fun-loving members of the today’s music scene.

So Katy Perry decided to embrace both St Patrick’s Day and Red Nose Day yesterday as she arrived in London for the latest stop on her world tour.

After wearing a leprechaun’s hat on stage during her Californian Dreams gig at the Hammersmith Apollo, the 26-year-old donned a red nose as she made a late-night visit to Radio 1.

Late night visit: Katy Perry surprised Chris Moyles and ‘Comedy’ Dave Vitty’s listeners by dropping into their Radio 1 show at 1.30am this morning

Perry stunned listeners tuning in to Chris Moyles’ on-air marathon by turning up in the studio at 1.30am in the morning.

Despite the time of night, Perry looked wide awake and chic in her silver dress and towering yellow heels.

Amazingly after singing on stage all night,
Perry still had her voice left to chat to sleep-deprived Moyles and
    co-host ‘Comedy’ Dave Vitty.

The DJ duo are currently undergoing a marathon 51-hour live show to raise money for Comic Relief and had already passed the £1million stage by Thursday evening.

The rules allow them both a five minute break every hour and Moyles has
been getting through the marathon with rejuvenating showers and fry-ups.

But before her late night radio appearance, Perry wowed the sell-out crowd at the Apollo on the first UK date of her world tour.

Curvy: As you would expect from Ms Perry, the singer showed off her figure in a racy leotard

She wore a variety of colourful costumes during the two-hour show and her famous blue wig.

She admitted to the audience she was a
huge fan of reality TV show The Only Way Is Essex and shock documentary
series My Big Fat Gypsy Weddings.

After selling out three nights at the
Apollo and another April gig at Wembley Arena, Perry recently announced
two extra UK dates to the tour in October.

Feeling blue: Perry wore a dress covered in a roses for one number (left) before changing into a shapeless red creation

Perry started the 104-date tour in Portugal on February 20 and is set to finish in Dublin in November.

    Her
busy schedule means she won’t be left with much time to see her husband
Russell Brand, who she married in India last October after a whirlwind
    one year romance.

    Describing
her tour, Perry said: ‘The show is a big production, but there will be
wonderful moments where I can strip it down to just me and my guitar.

‘Yes, people will be able to dance
and maybe they will be able to cry, but in a lovely way. And I don’t
want to ruin any surprise but, I might be changing over 20 times in one
    show.’

Magical: Perry wore a dress covered in cupcakes (left) and a wizard-esque silver creation
