Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente, according to reports emanating from Spain.
The Bavarians will battle Real Madrid, Manchester United and Tottenham for the services of the 26-year-old forward.
Spanish publication AS claims that Llorente tops the German’s summer wish-list as the Bundesliga champions want to find a suitable strike partner for Mario Gomez.
Bayern have struggled on the domestic scene this term and want to add more firepower to their ranks for next season.
Llorente will not come on the cheap though as Athletic reportedly turned down a mega bid from Spurs in the winter transfer window and los Leones have insisted that interested suitors must meet his £31 million buyout clause to land the Spain international striker.
Llorente leads the club in scoring with 15 goals this season.
