    Kampala — Uganda’s senior men’s national volleyball team has started training for the Zone 5 All Africa Games qualifiers due March 23-30 in Kigali. The week-long tournament, to be hosted at Amahoro Stadium, will attract teams from Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Djibouti, Tanzania, Somalia, Eritrea and Rwanda.

    A tentative squad of 21 is undergoing drills at Nsambya Sharing Youth grounds under the watchful eye of coach Tom Mutebi assisted by Rafi Bachu and Titus Toma. “We have a few days to prepare yet we need to raise Shs30m,” said local volleyball federation technical director Godwin Ssenyondo.
