Ivan Zamorano does not expect Premier League target Alexis Sanchez to remain at Udinese for much longer

Former Chile star Ivan Zamorano does not expect Alexis Sanchez to stay with Udinese, following a string of sensational performances this season.

The tricky attacker has been a revelation in Serie A this season and his form has garnered attention from clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester United, Juventus and Inter.

Zamorano, who plied his trade for Inter during an illustrious career that also saw him lead the line at Real Madrid, expects Sanchez to leave his current club sooner rather than later.

“Scoring three or four goals in one Serie A match is something you can only dream about,” he told El Mercurial, referring to Sanchez’s four-goal haul against Palermo. “Some of the best strikers ever have played in Italy. Games like that are just magical.”

“Alexis’ main weapon is his pace, but there’s so much more to his game. He’s still young and has already made a name for himself worldwide.

“I don’t think he will stay much longer at Udinese following his most recent performances. I’m convinced that he will be better than me and Marcelo Salas. His youthfulness will allow him to become a great player.”

Sanchez has climbed to 102nd spot in the Castrol Rankings following his excellent performances for Udinese this season.
