The weekend’s Danish Superliga action saw Gambian international Ousman Jallow play 64th minute in Brøndby’s stalemate game with Lyngby, while on-loan defender Tijan Jaiteh watched from the bench as his Randers side thrashed Nordsjaell to better their position in the superliga standing.

Jallow started for Brondby on Sunday, playing 64th minute in the heart of forward as they earned a draw at home against Lyngby BK in the dying seconds. The effect of the long winter break was evident for both teams, as an intense first half was marred by overall sloppy play, which saw both teams unable to muster many chance, and waste the few they were able to create.

Brøndby came close to pulling ahead in the 63th minute when Ousman Jallow found Mike Jensen with a cross in front of goal, however Lyngby keeper Rune Pedersen made a fine save to preserve the deadlock. Lyngby finally scored the opening goal four minutes later, when a free kick from Kim Aabech was blocked by the Brøndby wall, but fell at the foot of Anders Christiansen who put it away for the lead.

The go-ahead goal also led to an unusual situation, which saw Mitja Mörek, who was being treated for a nosebleed on the sidelines, run onto the field to celebrate. As the referee had not yet whistled for him to return to the game, he had no choice but to issue a second yellow card to the defender, reducing Lyngby to ten men for the remainder.
The hosts managed to earn a point from the game in the final moments of injury time, Michael Krohn-Dehli got his head on a free kick from the right, sending it directly in front of goal for Daniel Wass to direct over the line.

Brøndby fall to fourth place with the draw, still only one point behind both Odense and Midtjylland. They will have their second straight home game on Sunday when they host SønderjyskE. Tijan Jaiteh was an unused substituted as Randers embarrassed Nordsjaelland with a 4-0 mauling.
