The Russia international graduated from their youth academy and spent eight years plying his trade for the St Petersburg-based outfit, before making a move to join the Gunners.
The 29-year-old has not had the best of seasons, as he has taken some criticism due to his patchy form through the course of the campaign. And now talkSPORT reports that Zenit are interested in re-signing their youth product, and would be interested in a season-long loan move with an option to buy the player at the end of that period.
Galatasaray are also reported to be interested in Arshavin.
