West Ham boss Avram Grant could be given a route out of Upton Park with former club Chelsea set to offer the Israeli a new job as director of football at Stamford Bridge, according to The Telegraph.

Grant continues to face uncertainty over his own future at the East London club despite signing a four-year-deal in January, with reports emerging in January that Martin O’Neill was set to replace him at the helm.

While the 56-year-old, who led the Blues to a Champions League final in 2008, will not be offered the managerial job at Chelsea he is being considered by owner Roman Abramovich as part of a new look setup.

With current sporting director Frank Arnesen and Lee Congerton set for an imminent departure to Hamburg, Abramovich could offer a return for the man who took his club to their first Champions League final in 2008.
