Rennes Captain Praises ‘classy’ John Boye

Rennes captain Romain Danze says he is not surprised by the level of maturity exhibited by Ghana  defender John Boye.

Boye was called into Frédéric Antonetti’s first team from the Rennes B at the second half of the season and has overly  impressed .

The Senegalese defender says he is not surprised by the class showed by the Ghanaian in the three matches that he has played so far for Rennes.

“No I am not surprised at John’s performance because I see him in training. This is a good player. We have always said that when he had his chance, he would answer this. I think he still a great room for improvement.”

Boye, 23, has helped Rennes to tie up with leaders with Lille.
