Policemen attached to Ago division in Lagos, yesterday, arrested a man who allegedly murdered his in-law who was declared missing three days ago.

Parts of the body of the deceased were recovered from the suspect
The arrest, turned the division into a park of sort, as inquisitive members of the youth besieged there to have a glimpse of the alleged murderer and the human partsĀ  concealed inside a plastic rubber.

The deceased identified as Basil Ogbonaya, was last seen on Tuesday. Tension according to his wife, heightened when he did not return home at midnight. An apprehensive Mrs OgbonayaĀ  was said to have reported at Ago division where she was advised to wait for 24 hours.

However yesterday, the policemen acting on a tip off tip off , stormed an apartment in Ejigbo area, where the deceased informed his wife he was going to that fateful day.

During a search, the policemen reportedly stumbled on a blue plastic which they opened, only to find inside it human parts of Okafor , with the wall of the apartment splashed with blood.

The suspect, trader at Okota as gathered, invited the deceased who was his younger sisterā€™s husband to his place that fateful day

According to Okafor, an argument over Basilā€™s inability to pay him an unspecified amount owed him, ensued during which he claimed to have hacked Basil to death with a cutlass.

Asked why he cut his remains into bits, he reportedly claimed it was to make it easier for him to dispose off the body.

The suspects and the exhibits were later driven away from the division , apparently to the State Criminal Investigation Department(SCID), Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.
