It was Joe’s first encounter with the former president, though he is not the first Ghanaian actor to do so. President Kufuor, according to a NEWS-ONE source, was so pleased to meet the actor, even though he did not say that in plain words.
His gestures towards the 24-year-old was however enough evidence, said the source. “Joe Shortingo was among a group of top named Ghanaian musicians who visited president Kufuor’s home to announce to him the death of another veteran musician.
It is not obvious, but it appears Joe was meeting the president for the first time. He was happy to see him too,” the source revealed.
NEWS-ONE has the exclusive pictures of the diminutive actor’s meeting with the former president. It is interesting to watch as 24-year-old Joe, in the snapshots, looked more or less like Kufuor’s baby boy who is harassing him for toffee.
The source said the former president passed some interesting comments about Joe, one of which was: “My friend I have seen you on TV.” The comment gives the impression that the ex-president has been watching Joe’s movies. Efforts to get Joe to speak about his encounter with the president however proved futile but NEWS-ONE is making efforts to get him to say something.
