“The deal is agreed. That is not a problem,” said the Turkish coach. “Hopefully he will represent himself, Bursa and Turkey in Russia.”
Reportedly, the player will move for a fee of €5.5 million, and is widely expected to sign a contract in the next few days worth €1.5m per season.
The player himself is said to be delighted at the transfer. Speaking to journalists at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport, he said: “This will be a new beginning for my career, a new page. It was a difficult decision for me to make, but I accepted because Lokomotiv showed a lot of desire for me.”
The 21-year-old youth product has made himself a regular starter for Bursaspor recently, and has already gained 10 full international caps for Turkey.
