Welcome to ‘Goal.com Predicts’, where our worldwide team of editors have their say on the biggest games of the weekend. This week we have the feisty north-west of England derby between hated rivals Liverpool and Manchester United as Kenny Dalglish renews his rivalry with Sir Alex Ferguson, while over in Italy there is the enticing prospect of Juventus and Milan as Zlatan Ibrahimovic takes on his former club with the title-chasing Rossoneri. The Red Devils need to bounce back against Liverpool after their defeat at Chelsea and should have enough quality, even without Vidic, to win away from home. The hosts’ form has been patchy and, although Dalglish has achieved some good results, they have come unstuck more often than they should have. |

After the Stamford Bridge slip-up, Sir Alex’s United have no more room for error. Thankfully for the Red Devils they’ll get back on track at Anfield, where the great atmosphere will not be enough to cancel out the hosts’ inconsistency and tendency towards mistakes. That said, it’ll be a narrow, nervy win. |

It’s one of the most anticipated Premier League clashes every year at Anfield, and the crowd could very well could spur Liverpool onto a result. The Kenny Dalglish honeymoon phase may be over, but the Merseysiders could hold the Red Devils. It would certainly spice up the season that bit more if probable debutant Andy Carroll and company can take advantage of the Nemanja Vidic’s absence. |

With the Red Devils being forced to play their back-up centre-backs and Liverpool hardly looking defensively solid against West Ham last week I can see goals in this one. It would not surprise me to see Andy Carroll cause havoc against United if he gets a chance to come on and play alongside Luis Suarez, while Nani, Rooney and Hernandez have the form to register on the score sheet. |

I’m tipping a second away win. Juve are on the ropes, bereft of confidence and are conceding bad goals. Milan need to keep the screw turned at the top of the table and they have the experience in their ranks to grind out a win. |

The league table and form book would suggest an easy away win, but Juve have a recent habit of doing the surprising, whether it’s winning games they shouldn’t or losing games they expect to win. From Milan’s side, the once rock-solid defence is beginning to show signs of weakness: this will be fully exploited. |

The Bianconeri, despite their precarious league position, have done well against the big teams this season, already beating Milan at the San Siro. If Juventus get the first goal then it will cause all kinds of problems for the Rossoneri if they take a backs-against-the-wall kind of approach. Juventus’ backline was shambolic against Bologna though, and they must be more attentive and organised if they are to get a result against the league-leaders, who have Inter on their trail. With neither backline particularly convincing at the moment, expect at least a couple goals in this historic Italian clash. |

Milan’s win over Napoli was impressive, with Alexandre Pato in particular standing out, and I expect them to play with confidence going forward in Turin. In defence, however, the Rossoneri are often liable to slip up – particularly against pacey attackers. Juventus are at a low ebb and played like a team of strangers against Bologna. The Serie A leaders should edge this one. |
