Ghanaian football star and wannabe rapper, Asamoah Gyan was recently unveiled as the newest brand icon for mobile communications firm Glo, in a deal reportedly worth $130,000 a year. The said he was excited to join other Ghanaian celebrities as the newest Glo Ambassador to promote the Globacom Mobile, which also sponsors the Black Stars and the Glo Premier League.
Despite becoming Sunderland’s most expensive player of all time at £13 million, Gyan did not hide his dream of playing for English giants Manchester United or nine-time European champions Real Madrid during his playing career.
