Sir Elton John has confirmed that he and partner David Furnish have been invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding.
The singer said he would be attending during an appearance on Canadian television.
Sir Elton had said he was not expecting an invite to the wedding despite being a close friend of William’s mother Diana, Princess of Wales.
When interviewed on CTV’s Marilyn Denis Show yesterday, the singer told the host, ‘As far as I know, I don’t have an invitation,’ but when pressed he said ‘Yeah, we do have an invitation’.
Sir Elton added: ‘I’ve been trying to be discreet, yeah, we got an invitation.’
