Michael Vick – Michael Vick plans to stay in Philadelphia, at least for one more year.
The franchise tag was applied to Michael Vick preventing him from becoming a free agent. The contract terms were not disclosed but estimates are nearing $20 million according to the Associated Press.
Players designated with the franchise tag receive one-year contracts equal to the average of the five highest-paid players at their positions the previous season, under current rules.
The players must accept that contract figure and are barred from becoming free agents, according to Bloomberg news.
