    Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra has admitted that he is willing to play through pain against Liverpool, if he does not regain his fitness by Sunday.

    The two sides clash at Anfield in what will be an important game for both sides; the Red Devils are currently top of the table and will overtake their opponents’ title record if they win the Premier League this season.

    Arsenal will be one point behind Sir Alex Ferguson’s charges if they win their game in hand, and Kenny Dalglish’s men could help hinder United’s title chances with a win at Anfield.

    With so much at stake in the encounter on Merseyside, Evra – who is currently nursing a knee problem – told Canal Plus: “I don’t think it is very serious, and anyway I am a warrior.”

    Evra has made 32 appearances in all competitions for United this season.
