The injury sustained by Tottenham forward Jermain Defoe is reportedly not as serious as initially feared.
The 28-year-old has already missed a significant portion of the club’s campaign due to injury, and an ankle problem during the warm-weather training in Dubai sparked reports that the forward could be sidelined for a lengthy period of time.
However, The Guardian reports that the former Portsmouth man is expected to return to training sometime this week.
This also puts Defoe in contention to potentially play a part in the second leg of the Champions League tie against AC Milan.
