Jonathan’s wife lauds FG’s youth plan

The wife of the President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, has lauded the Federal Government for establishing a youth empowerment initiative aimed at providing jobs for young people.

She gave the commendation in Calabar on Tuesday at the inauguration of the Peoples Democratic Party’s women’s zonal rally for the South-South, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

She also lauded the Federal Government’s amnesty programme that offered opportunities for Niger Delta youths to drop their arms and embrace peace and development.

In her remarks, the wife of the vice-presidentHajia Amina Sambo, said, “We are not here to campaign but to sell our candidates, the president and vice-president and the PDP.”
