Ferdinand harassment case delayed

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a woman charged with harassing England football captain Rio Ferdinand.

Susanne Ibru, 38, was due to attend a pre-trial hearing at Macclesfield Magistrates’ Court earlier.

When she failed to arrive, the bench issued a warrant for her arrest.

The Manchester United centre half has allegedly been plagued by Ibru, of Peckham, south London, turning up at his home and asking to speak to him.

Mr Ferdinand, 32, who lives in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, with his wife Rebecca and their two sons, alerted police and Ms Ibru was arrested and charged last year.
