According to reports from Germany, the Bundesliga champions-elect are keen to add Borussia Moenchengladbach attacker Marco Reus, as well as Stuttgart midfielder Christian Traesch, to their ranks.
According to Sport Bild, the Schwarzgelben are primarily interested in securing talent from relegated teams, because players would come at a cheaper price. Reus is currently under contract at Gladbach until 2015, but the 21-year-old may be able to force a transfer.
An attacking all-rounder capable of playing anywhere behind the main striker, Reus has scored six goals and assisted seven more this year.
In addition to Reus, Dortmund are said to be keen on Traesch, whose deal with Stuttgart runs until 2012. The 23-year-old holding midfielder has twice appeared for Germany, and is also capable of playing as a right back.
Dortmund have largely kept quiet on the topic of potential transfers to and from the Ruhr area, and their budget for summer shopping is yet to be revealed.
Reports suggest that Reus and Traesch will cost a combined €17.5 million, although that number could significantly drop if either or both of Gladbach and Stuttgart are relegated.
