Midfielder Andre Ayew has confirmed his desire to stay on at French champions Olympique Marseille cooling reports of a move to Manchester United in the summer.
English radio station Talksport has reported the 2009 Fifa World Youth Cup winner is interesting Sir Alex Ferguson who wants to sign him to replace Paul Scholes.
But the Ghana international is not pushing for an early exit from the Stade Velodrome.
“It is true that I wanted to leave Olympique Marseille,” he said. “But after talking with the coach and club officials I have changed my mind. I know the environment of l’OM well and I have not done enough here to pack my bags.
“Several foreign clubs in Germany, England and Italy have approached me, I could make other choices, sporting or financial, but I’m only 20 years old.
“I’ve decided to stay at Marseille to continue my progression.”
His contract with the club expires this summer.
Ayew scored a double for Marseille in their 1-2 win at AS Nancy last Sunday to remain in the title race.
