Tottenham are interested in securing the services of £15 million-rated Manchester City defender Micah Richards, according to the Daily Mail.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp tried to sign Richards last summer but Roberto Mancini rebuffed the approach and kept the right-back.

But Redknapp is now looking to revive his interest in the defender and put in a bid of around £15m in the summer.

It is believed that Richards is more than willing to listen to the offer and is open to leaving Eastlands at the end of the season.

But Spurs may face competition in their pursuit because the defender’s representatives are reported to have alerted a number of Premier League clubs about the potential availability of the 22-year-old in the summer.

And as exclusively revealed by Goal.com UK, his future could be in doubt as City are targeting Barcelona’s Dani Alves and Ajax’s Gregory van der Wiel.
