On-loan Wolves midfielder Jamie O’Hara resigned to leaving Tottenham in summer

On-loan Wolves midfielder Jamie O’Hara has admitted that he is likely to leave Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old has been loaned out to Mick McCarthy’s side until the end of the season and he believes it is unlikely that he will play for the White Hart Lane outfit again after insisting that he needs to play week in, week out.

He told The Sun: “I can’t see myself playing for Spurs at the moment.

“They’ve got a good squad and the manager has never really given me an opportunity to play a run of games.

“So I think it’s time for me to look elsewhere and move on in my career.

“I want to go somewhere where I am going to play every week. I want to be settled somewhere for a good three or four years.”

O’Hara, who spent most of last season on loan with Portsmouth, also hinted that he may stay at Wolves after his loan deal runs out, citing both the fans and McCarty as reasons for wanting to do so.

He added: “The fans are brilliant here and the manager has been amazing with me so far.

“I’ve been really impressed with the place so we’ll see what happens at the end of the season. I’m not even thinking about relegation.”

The midfielder has now scored in consecutive games for the Molineux side and feels that Wolves have a better squad than any of their counterparts embroiled in the relegation dogfight.

He said: “I’m here to fight and I don’t see why we can’t stay up.

“I think we’ve got a squad to stay in the Premier League, a better squad than the other teams at the bottom.”
