Mr. Twum Boafo noted that since the infamous statement, hardly does a day pass by without these “apologists” of Nana Addo giving their own interpretations to the statement, adding that there has been some “twenty thousand” explanations to Nana Addo‘s “all-die-be-die” comment.
Speaking in an interview with Alhassan Suhini on Radio Gold, the Free Zones Board CEO urged members of the NPP fraternity to advice their presidential candidate to “stop ethnically dividing this country” with his speeches.
To him, it is difficult to understand why Nana Addo together with “his gang of brigands and buccaneers would think that anybody wants to die for him to be president.”
“On behalf of my generation, I believe some of us are very young and would not want to die,” Mr. Boafo said.
A member of the ruling government’s Communication Team, Kwadwo Twum Boafo strongly asserted that the NPP flagbearer has an unsurpassed record of “violence and belligerence that no active politician in this country has.”
Whiles alluding to an incident in 1996 where he accused Nana Akufo-Addo of active involvement in sporadic firing of guns shots on the streets of Kyebi, the Free Zones Board Boss catalogued a litany of incidents to buttress his assertions that the NPP’s presidential candidate is miles away from being regarded as a unifier.
“Fiifi Ofori Atta, his own cousin who dared to support Alan Kyeremanten, his house was ransacked. If he had been there that day, it would have been nothing but problems for him…Paul Afoko, at the NPP congress, 2007, he was beaten for daring to support Alan Kyeremanten…Hilda Addo goes to a radio station and says Nana Addo is unpopular and within minutes, Nana Addo supporters storm the radio station. This same man in 2000 said that he was going to make this country ungovernable…to me the call on President Mills to meet with Nana Addo is not feasible,” he stated.
