Everton striker Louis Saha is ‘lucky to be alive’ according to Cheshire Police after the striker was involved in a car crash on Sunday night near his home.
The striker walked away unhurt after losing control of his Ferrari 458 in Wilmslow on the outskirts of Manchester and colliding with a fence,
His manager David Moyes admitted he was unaware of the incident until Monday morning’s training but confirmed was not injured.
“Incredibly, he has no injuries from it,” Moyes told Sky Sports.
“I don’t know much about it,” he added. “I only just got told this morning. I couldn’t tell you much, but he is okay.”
A spokeswoman for Cheshire Police said: “At 8.54pm last night police were called to Altrincham Road, Wilmslow, to the report of a single vehicle road traffic collision.
“Officers attended the scene where a blue Ferrari 458 had collided with a fence outside the tunnel.
“The 32-year-old driver was uninjured. Inquiries are continuing.”
Despite the accident, and struggling with a hamstring injury in recent weeks, Saha is expected to be involved for Everton’s fifth-round FA Cup clash with Reading.
