AISHWARYA RAI – AISHWARYA RAI SHINES ON THE RED CARPET

AISHWARYA RAI added some Bollywood glamour to the red-carpet at last night’s OSCARS in Los Angeles.

AISHWARYA RAI, the 37-year-old Indian actress and former Miss World, sparkled in a bronze GIORGIO ARMANI gown at the ACADEMY AWARDS yesterday (27th February 2011), reports NDTV.
Rai posed for photographs in an on-trend shimmery gown, joining the likes of GWYNETH PALTROW and MANDY MOORE who also opted for sequined numbers. The actress matched her gown with a JIMMY CHOO clutch bag, vintage jewellery and smoky eyes. She walked the red-carpet with husband ABHISHEK BACHCHAN, who donned a traditional black tuxedo. Other fashion highlights at yesterday’s ceremony included ‘Black Swan’ star MILA KUNIS, who donned a lilac ELIE SAAB dress and HILARY SWANK, who wore a glistening silver Gucci dress. HAILEE STEINFELD, the 14-year-old star of ‘True Grit’ who was nominated for ‘Best Supporting Actress’, wore a fifties-style dress by Marchesa.

AISHWARYA RAI’s last movie role came when she starred in the 2010 film ‘Guzaarish’ about a magician who attempts to gain permission to end his own life after becoming paralyzed in an accident.
