Thousands of Kotoko supporters in Kumasi are of the conviction Mr. Nyantakyi’s performance is far below average so he must go.
The Kotoko fans have thus given Mr. Nyantakyi a one-week ultimatum to resign or they would demonstrate against him.
The peeved Kotoko supporters have written to the police for permit to hit the streets latest by next week.
Leader of the irate Kotoko supporters, Nana Owusu said Mr. Nyantakyi’s removal from office would help Kotoko to become winsome once again.
According to him, the Kotoko supporters’ base keeps shrinking by the day since Mr. Nyantakyi became the Circles chairman.
Giving statistics to buttress his claim, Nana Owusu said the Ashanti Regional Circles of the club has reduced from 123 to just 25 within eight years.
He stated that the records have shown that Mr. Nyantakyi is not suitable for the position, accusing the chairman of doing politics with Kotoko.
Nana Owusu alleged that Mr. Nyantakyi is fond of scheming for the down fall of Kotoko CEOs that are not championing his interests.
