FORMER Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu and all Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) governors are expected to grace the campaign flag-off of Imo State ACN governorship candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume in Orlu tomorrow.
Governors Babatunde Fashola (Lagos), Adams Oshiomhole (Edo), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti) and Rauf Aregbesola (Osun) are expected at the event. Araraume spoke in Owerri on his arrival from a consultative tour of the United States and United Kingdom, where he met with Imo indigenes in the diaspora.
He said ACN’s national Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, would be in Orlu during the campaign flag-off for the April polls.
The event will hold at the Orlu Township Stadium where the ACN candidates and leaders will be presented to the people.
On the choice of Orlu, where former Governor Achike Udenwa hails from, Araraume said it would afford ACN’s supporters an opportunity to interact with the party’s leadership.
The leadership of the party and governors are expected to outline the programmes of ACN, it was learnt.
Araraume said ACN epitomises good governance, pledging that his administration would pursue people – oriented programmes ,if he is elected.
The leadership of the party in the state will hold a colloquium at the All Seasons Hotel in Owerri to assess the party’s candidates.
The colloquium will be used to unveil the party’s manifesto and Constitution.
Secretary of the party Christian Oguoma said the colloquium was aimed at educating the invitees.
Leader of the party Dr Alex Obi urged members to attend the colloquium, saying it would serve as a prelude to the flag- off in Orlu.
