Denmark international Nicklas Bendtner could be on his way out of Champions League hopefuls Arsenal at the end of the season as Bundesliga side Hamburg have shown an interest in signing the striker.

The Rothosen are in the market for a new attacker because of the imminent departure of Ruud van Nistelrooy and new sporting director Frank Arnesen considers Bendtner to be the perfect replacement, if a report in Bild is to be believed.

The 23-year-old Bendtner joined the Arsenal youth academy from Copenhagen in the summer of 2004. The striker made his first team debut in November 2005, but has failed to secure regular first team football ever since.

Therefore, Bendtner could be on his way out of Arsenal at the end of the season.

However, the attacker’s current contract with the Gunners runs until the summer of 2014, meaning that he won’t be available on the cheap.
