Galliani: Milan’s Match Against Napoli Will Be Important But Not Decisive

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has admitted the Rossoneri’s league clash with Napoli will be an important match, but not decisive when it comes to the race for the Scudetto at season’s end.

The two teams are separated by only three points, and take on one another at the San Siro on Monday evening.

“The match against Napoli is a very important match, but not decisive in one way or another,” Galliani told Sky. “There is a lot of anticipation, as first will be playing second, but they are only fighting for three points, and there are 36 points still available.

“We must remember that winning against Napoli does not mean we will win the Scudetto, or vice-versa.”

Galliani also had faith that all three Italian sides – including the Diavoli – could overcome their first leg Champions League losses and progress through to the quarter-finals of the competition.

“It will be difficult for all three teams, but we must give it our all, as nothing is lost yet,” he concluded
