Matt Bellamy has a successful night at the Shockwave NME Awards

Kate Hudson, 31, and Matt Bellamy, 32, are expecting a baby

Pregnant Kate Hudson will be beaming with pride this morning after her boyfriend Matt Bellamy won Sexiest Male at last night’s NME Awards.

Matt‘s band Muse also won Best British Band for the fourth year running at the event at London’s

Brixton Academy,

My Chemical Romance scooped Best International Band and Best Video, Brit winner Laura Marling continued her success with her Best Solo Artist gong and Biffy Clyro scooped the prize for Best Live Band. 

Skins was voted Best TV Show, Lady Gaga won Hero Of The Year and Glastonbury took the award for Best Festival.

At the other end of the scale was teen pop idol Justin Bieber, 16, who was awarded the Least Stylish and Worst Album prizes.

But the Canadian singer, whose My World album took a battering, was narrowly beaten by David Cameron in the Villain Of The Year category.
