Drew Barrymore and new love Will Kopelman smarten up for lunch date in LA

With any new relationship, both partners make sure they look their best at all times.

Something which Drew Barrymore, who is normally one to grunge down, appears to have taken on board.

Apart from red carpet events, she usually shies away from the glamour, opting for more comfortable attire as she goes about her day.

But with a new man in her life, Drew swapped the scruffy jeans for a pretty hippy-chick skirt as she went for a nice lunch with Will Kopelman in Los Angeles yesterday.

The actress, who turned 36 this week, looked pretty in the silk embroidered skirt and shiny black patent lace-up heels.

Unfortunately, Drew let the side down in her battered black biker jacket and three tone hair, which looked as though it needed a serious colour and cut.

Unless she had adopted the latest dip dye hair trend which originated in a salon in Dalston and has been adopted by a few celebrities.

But bad hair aside, Drew looked very happy as she strolled arm-in-arm with the
33-year-old art consultant as they left the E. Baldi Italian restaurant
in Beverly Hills yesterday.

The couple haven’t been dating for very long and were spotted out for the first time together two weeks ago.

But they look happy and comfortable in each other’s company as they went for their romantic lunch date.

Will is the son of former head of the American arm of Chanel, Arie
Kopelman and a source described him to America’s Us Weekly as a
‘socialite type and a playboy.’

A friend said of the blossoming romance: ‘It’s a very new relationship and they’re taking things slowly … They’ve been getting to know each other a lot better these last few weeks.

Barrymore, who has been married twice to Welsh
bartender Jeremy Thomas and comedian Tom Green, recently said she is
becoming more realistic about relationships.

‘In my twenties I did want the fairytale,’ she said.

‘But in my thirties I realised there is a next day. It’s about a truth and getting to be who you are.

‘The
irony is I don’t need anyone to give the fairytale to me; I can give it
to myself or I will try and provide it for people through different
avenues.’

Barrymore has enjoyed huge success in her career and has made over
sixty films which have banked a huge £1.4bn at the box office.

She runs her own production company, Flower Films, which was behind
the films Charlie’s Angels, Never Been Kissed and 50 First Dates.

Last year she moved into directing with the critically acclaimed, Whip It.
