Villarreal’s Marcos Senna Out Of Napoli Match With Injury

Villarreal midfielder Marcos Senna has been left out of Juan Carlos Garrido’s squad for the visit of Napoli in the Europa League this Thursday.

The experienced midfielder has been omitted from the list due to a persistent thigh injury which has interrupted much of his season, limiting the 34-year-old to just 11 league starts.

Senna joins long-term victim Angel on the sidelines, with the full-back missing for the rest of the campaign, but goalkeeper Juan Carlos, who has been out for a period of six weeks, makes a welcome return.

Mateo Musacchio and Gonzalo Rodriguez are expected to partner each other in the centre of defence due to the absence of Carlos Marchena, who is suspended for the match.

    The squad list in full:

    Goalkeepers: Diego Lopez, Juan Carlos

Defenders: Mario, Cicinho, Gonzalo, Musacchio, Catala, Kiko, Capdevila

Midfielders: Borja Valero, Bruno, Cazorla, Cani, Marcos Gullon, Wakaso

    Strikers: Rossi, Nilmar, Marco Ruben
