He’s had a difficult time sitting back and watching his son Charlie indulge in drugs and hookers, and Martin Sheen says he thinks the “Two-and-a-Half Men” star has a serious disease.
The “West Wing” actor gushed, “He’s an extraordinary man. If he had cancer, how would we treat him? The disease of addiction is a form of cancer.”
Charlie’s half brother Emilio Estevez added, “You build up an immunity I guess,” when asked how he deals with being constantly questioned about Sheen.
Martin summed it up, “You realize that we’re not all on the same journey all the time, yet we have to love that much more.”
