A TASMANIAN man has been found dead after a house fire in the state’s northwest.
Emergency services were called to a home in Reid Street, Upper Burnie, shortly before 7.20pm (AEDT) today, police said.
An elderly man was found inside the house, which crews say was significantly damaged.
There were no other occupants in the property at the time of the blaze.
The fire’s cause is being investigated and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
