OSOGBO – Osun state Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola has declared that corruption alone accounted for seventy percent of the total annual budget in the country.
Declaring open a two-day national workshop on “Public Procurement Act-panacea to sustainable economic development”, organized by the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Osun state chapter, governor Aregbesola regretted that there was little or nothing to show for all the resources available in this country.
He stated that public and private sectors in Nigeria have become a highway of corruption, noting that if corruption is eliminated in the procurement and all leakages blocked , the quality of health and education of the citizenry would be improved .
