A native of Tevi in neighbouring Trogo, Kwadzo Zombo Amenyikpo, 34, is in police custody at the Old Fadama police station, for allegedly harassing female traders at the Agbogbloshie market in Accra, and possessing a firearm without lawful authority.

During his arrest on February 14, this year, the James Town Police Crime Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Alex Buahin, said Kwadzo had in his possession two charms, one of which he uses to attract women to his beck and call, and the other, which enables him to disappear at any given time.

Other items found on him included a locally manufactured pistol, with an empty cartridge and live ammunition and a catapult.

According to the Crime Officer, Kwadzo’s ill-behaviour towards the market women became unbearable, and was reported to the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) Task Force in the market, which failed to arrest him, because he pulled out a pistol. DSP Buahin noted that the suspect went into hiding for the past three weeks, and was arrested by the same task force on St. Valentine’s Day. Kwadzo is being processed for court.
