The entire Phobian fraternity has been told not to panic about the club’s 14th placing on the league ladder. Alhaji Hearts, a club heavyweight, has given the assurance that the club would not be relegated in its centenary year.

Hearts’ poor placing on the table, he observed, is temporary, as the club would soon bounce back in style.

What is happening to Hearts, he said, is normal in football and it could happen to any big club in the world. Alhaji Hearts therefore admonished the teeming fans of the oldest club in the country not to give up hope in these trying moments.

He urged the Hearts fans to rally behind the team whether in good or bad times, assuring them there is light at the end of the tunnel. Alhaji Hearts however expressed shock about the manner in which the club has been dropping points at home this season.

The Hearts bigwig could not understand why the club should concede goals between 60th to 69th minute whenever they play at the Accra Sports Stadium. Though sounding irked about the deplorable form of his darling club, Alhaji Hearts said the club has the spirit to overcome its challenges.

Management and the entire stakeholders of the club, he disclosed, have been strategizing to bring the club back to winning ways.

Confident-looking Alhaji Hearts assured that the fans would see a new Hearts of Oak that would be winning matches both home and away when the league resumes in March. Hearts of Oak have witnessed turbulent times this season, losing matches easily at their Accra Sports Stadium home grounds.

The oldest club in the country would attain hundred years on November 11 this year and management have planned celebrating the big occasion with a league triumph.

But sadly, with 11 matches to end the season, Hearts are uncharacteristically lying 14th on the league table and therefore needs magic to survive the premiership
