Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah claims he is on the road to revival after netting a goal and providing an assist in a comprehensive 4-1 drubbing of Togo on Tuesday night in Antwerp.
He was adjudged man-of-the-match and convinced many of his position in the national team.
The AC Milan player who is on loan at Partizan Belgrade has struggled to meet expectations since being named Fifa World Youth Best player in October 2009.
Adiyiah opened the scoring for Ghana and his first international goal on ten minutes after being teed up by Kwadwo Asamoah.
The 21-year-old did not relent and tormented the Togo back line in a fine move before setting up Samuel Inkoom for the fourth goal.
“I’m excited by my performance today since I have struggled a lot to live up to expectations. I join a new club this January and I have a feeling I can achieve my goal in the shortest time if God permits,” Adiyiah told GHANAsoccernet.com
“I scored my first goal today and I promise to continue with more if given the opportunity. I must look ahead to club football which is important to get me into the national team.”
