Reports reaching the Daily Guide newspaper as at press time yesterday indicated that Maame Ajoa Se Menhyia had been picked up by the police for unexplained reasons. Her lawyer said she was arrested aroud 1pm on orders ‘from above,’ and was expected to pass the night in police custody.
Maame Se Menhyia, a popular kasoa-based herbalist, has been in the news lately following her battle with the Food and Drugs Board (FDB). Last Monday, the herbalist accused the FDB boss, Dr. Stephen Opuni of harassing her for her refusal to yield to his sexual advances.
