    Unashamed

It may seem as though the gospel music industry is saturated with loads of songs and emerging artistes, some of whom sometimes go unnoticed but interestingly there is always a place for those with very quality, well organized and spirit filled music and lyrics.
Unashamed is the latest group to emerge on the Ghanaian Gospel music scene.
Nyame, Kese Ye, the title of the 9 track album is set to thrill gospel music lovers when it is released in the next few days.
Unashamed is a group formed by Mrs. Patience Abor, who also doubles as the lead singer and composer of most of the songs on the album.
Patience is currently a lecturer at the Dept. of Public Administration and Health Services Management at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon.
She holds an MTech in Environmental Health from the Cape Penninsula University in South Africa, and an MPhil in Health Services Management from the University of Ghana Business School.
She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Southampton in the UK.
According to Patience Abor, the name Unashamed was inspired by Apostle Paul’s declaration in the book of Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…”
“I believe my life is a testimony to the fact that God can take the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. My family background and experiences in life gave little or no indication that I could get to my current status in life. So what I am saying is that in spite of my current status as an academician and all, I am unashamed to declare his word through music.” She said.
Also featured on the album is Angelina Sosu Nyieku, popularly known as Angie. Angie is a fashion designer. A natural song writer and a singer, Angie says her gift of designing quality clothes is one way through which she worships the father.
The album titled NYAME KESE YE(GREATNESS OF GOD), according to Pat Abor is a celebration of the omnipotence and supremacy of God.
It opens with Yesu Do, which, according to the duo, is meant to appreciate Jesus for His love bestowed upon them and their families.
Other tracks on the album include MEDA WO ASE (Thank You), PRAISE JEHOVAH, DINPA, KOSI OBA BIRE/OBIARA NNI WO NSE, MENSURO, WOGYEDIE NTI, among others.
The album is blessed with a variety of Ghanaian and other feet moving African rhythms and style.
“Nyame Kese Ye is sizzling hot and ready to hit the market soon. The songs were born out of prayer and I believe it will certainly have a transforming impact in the life of anybody who would have the opportunity to listen.” Pat Abor told this reporter.
She also hinted that the group is opened to all who feel unashamed to declare the goodness of God on their lives and families through music, theatre and arts.
“Unashamed has a much bigger mission than music. It’s going to be a group for all those who have accomplished something in life and wish to impact others through the ministry of music, theatre and arts.” She added.
