Paa Kwesi Brew Yalley, an NDC youth activist says he is fed up with the foul language NPP firebrand, Ursula Owusu has been using on political leaders of the country and thinks she must be stopped in her tracks before she influences the society with “her bad morals.”
“The penchant of Ursula to insult the elderly, especially her opponents like President Mills at any given opportunity on radio is highly unacceptable and alien to the Ghanaian culture,” observed Paa Kwesi.
In an interview with the Crystal Clear Lens yesterday, Paa Kwesi explained that, “the tradition of Ghana demands every woman to be formally married and be submissive to her husband but because she is not married, she is under no control hence her disrespectful attitude.”
A clearly exasperated Paa Kwesi also opined that, the verbal vituperations of Ursula were a threat to the security of the state. “unlike me who has access to the media to pour out my heart, others may decide to attack her physically to lodge their protest which will affect the security of the state,” he stated, adding that if other women copy her insulting attitude and start to insult the elderly in the society and their husbands in their homes, broken homes will be the order of the day and the society will be lawless.
Citing the recent shooting incident in Arizona, USA, Paa Kwesi decried politics of insults and urged the national security outfit to make it a priority to sanitise our political discourse.
It would be recalled that following the events in Arizona, President Obama, in his speech at a memorial service for the victims of the shooting, asked Americans to use words that heal wound at this time when “our discourse has become so sharply polarized.” “A more civil and honest public discourse can help us face up to our challenges as a nation, in a way that would make the Arizona victims proud,” President Obama stated.
Paa Kwesi further suggested that, “because Ursula is not married, she goes out anytime and comes home at her own will so she has no respect for the elderly and men in particular.”
On the suggestion by Ursula on radio last week that President Mills did not have a stable mind, Paa Kwesi observed that, “the brain of every human being is like a swinging pendulum so nobody will have a stable mind in all his/her lifetime. He therefore cautioned Ursula to be “mindful of her words because the Law of Karma may catch up with her in the future.”
