Spanish outfit Sevilla have confirmed that they are seeking to sign Ghanaian midfielder Anthony Annan before the end of the month.
Annan, who plays for Norwegian side Rosenborg, has bene linked with a host of clubs with Liverpool and Manchester United also said to be keen.
Sevilla coach Gregorio Manzano has confessed for the first time that the club are actively seeking to secure a deal for the Ghanaian. Manzano is confident that a deal would be struck, and the player was interested, but that the clubs had not yet agreed terms.
“All I can say is that until the last signature is fixed, everything else that is discussed is a lie,” Manzano told the Spanish media.
“However, he [Annan] wants to come here, and that is very good, but what is needed is that he be allowed to reach an agreement with Sevilla.” Annan has one year left on his contract with Rosenborg.
