President Mills has dismissed 13 Municipal and District Chief Executives across the country. The M/DCEs are in the Ashanti, Central, Eastern and Brong Ahafo regions. Eastern Region tops the list with five dismissals.
A statement signed by J K Bebaako-Mensah, Secretary to the President, named the affected officials as Kwadwo Addae (Sekyere East), Victor Amponsah (Offinso South Municipal), Jacob Kofi Dankwah (Sekyere Afram Plains), and Mohammed Boakye Agyemang (Ejisu Juabeng Municipal), all in the Ashanti Region.
Mr Felix Obeng-Forson (Agona West Municipal) and John Oremus Arko (Agona East), all in the Central Region have also been fired.
Fleance Danso (Asunafo South) and Dominic Yaw Owusu-Ankomah (Tano North) in the Brong Ahafo region have also lost their jobs.
Napoleon Amoako Asiamah (Birim North), Godfried Osei Bonsu Twum (Akuapem South), Seth Otchere (West Akim Municipal), Charles Evans Apraku (Kwahu North), and George Agyemang Dua (Kwaebibirem) all in the Eastern region have all been dismissed.
The statement said until new Municipal/District Chief Executive are named, the respective Regional Ministers are to oversee the administration of the affected areas.
