    Alhaji Bature

Social commentator and Managing Editor of the Bilingual Free Press newspaper, Alhaji Bature Iddrisu has taken a swipe at the President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills and his team of Ministers for their inability to prosecute former Ministers of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He has therefore called on them to shut up and stop making wild allegations about the Kufuor-led administration on radio. According to him, he is disappointed at the NDC government for not ensuring probity and accountability, after it made several allegations about the former regime on radio when in opposition.
An obviously livid Bature Iddrisu who is also a sympathizer of the NDC, hacked president Mills for making cocaine allegations against the NPP at the Presidential forum organized by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), but two years in to his administration no single prosecution has been made.
It is against this back ground that the Managing Editor of the Bilingual Free Press has called on the NDC to stop making allegations on radio against the NPP, but instead prosecute them or shut up.
Speaking on Asempa FM yesterday, an obvious furious Alhaji Bature Iddrisu fumed that he, together with other social commentators, made several claims on radio with the hope that the NDC after having been voted into power will feed on those claims to prosecute former ministers of state.
Citing the infamous hotel Kufuor as one of those claims, he expressed disappointment at the government for not setting up a probe. “This thing about corruption of the NPP should not be repeated on radio. We were on Radio Gold putting out all these information. How NIB paid GH$200,000 as subsidy when they owed a company 2 million dollars. You have all these information and you are now in power what are you doing about it?” he asked angrily.
He averred that inability of the NDC government to prosecute the former NPP ministers has given the latter the guts to accuse Stan Dogbe of misappropriating 1.6 million dollars.
“Is that what politics is meant to be? The issue of the NPP needs not to be put on radio if you have evidence send them to court and if you don’t have the evidence shut up,” he fumed. “We are sick and tired of this. I put my life for the people of Ghana and today all I get is Kokofu football,” he said.
