Ghana first choice goalkeeper Richard Kingson is thrilled he will be playing England at Wembley in an international friendly on 29 March.
The Blackpool gloves man cannot wait to meet England stars Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney and the rest.
“I’m very happy that finally we are going to play England because we have made several attempts to engage them but to no avail and so when I heard the date has been confirmed I was overjoyed,” Kingson told Happy FM
“I said it two years ago that I wanted to play against England and indeed after the 2006 World Cup we (Black Stars players) were putting pressure on the GFA to try and get a date with them and so at the moment I’m praying I will be fit for the game.”
Ghana’s English Premier League contingent of Michael Essien, John Pantsil, Asamoah Gyan and John Mensah are expected to play.
The Black Stars were the toast of the world after finishing in the last eight of the 2010 World Cup finals while the Three Lions were flops.
