Ghana To Pick Two Foreign-born Youngsters For U20

    Ghana U20 coach Orlando Wellington says just two players from the several Europe-born youngsters will be chosen for the Black Satellites.
    A special trial session was held for many Ghanaian players who were born in Europe last week as they seek to fight for a place. Former France U17 captain Kevin Osei was among many otherwho arrived in Ghana to fight for a place in the wOrld champions squad.
    But Wellington insists only two players impressed during the two-day trial and they will be inivted to join the main squad. “We gave them the opportunity to come to Ghana to train with the team so that we can observe,” Welling said.
    “Only two players impressed and we will invite them to join the main squad in our prepapration for the African Championship.” Osei, the Marseille midfielder, is said to be among the players who excelled during the training session.
    Osei, who was born in France to Ghanaian parents, has expressed interest in switching nationality to play for Ghana. The World Champions have qualified for the Africa Youth Championship to be played in Libya in 2011.
